These terms govern the Footy League owner referral programme. They apply to signed-in platform owners on footyleague.app. They do not apply to visitors of a tenant league website.
Please read them carefully. By continuing on the Referrals page, copying a referral link, sharing a referral code, or setting up payouts, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
The programme is operated by WeCraftLDN LTD trading as Footy League (“Footy League”, “we”, “us”).
Email: [email protected]
Footy League remains the merchant of record for Pro and Elite subscriptions. Referral payouts are a commission we pay to you. They are not a payment collected from the referred owner on your behalf.
Who can take part
You must have a Footy League owner account. Participation is optional. Setting up payouts requires completing Stripe Connect onboarding.
This programme is not employment, a partnership, a joint venture, or an agency appointment.
How attribution works
Each owner receives a unique referral link in the form https://footyleague.app/signup?ref=CODE.
If someone opens a valid referral link, we store a first-touch referral code in their browser for 90 days. The first stored code is kept for that period; a later referral link does not replace it.
The stored code is applied once, when that person creates a Footy League owner account. We reject self-referrals. If an account is already attributed, a later code is not applied.
What is commissioned
If a referred owner’s first successful paid invoice is for Pro or Elite, you earn 20% of that invoice amount:
- Pro monthly £25 → £5.00
- Elite monthly £99 → £19.80
- Pro annual £249 → £49.80
- Elite annual £999 → £199.80
Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid on that first successful invoice. There is one commission per referred owner.
What is not commissioned
No commission is due on:
- renewals;
- later plan changes or swaps after the first successful paid invoice;
- Free-plan use;
- unpaid invoices, failed payments, or incomplete checkout;
- plan grants made by Footy League without a Stripe payment, including an administrator setting an owner’s plan.
Payouts
Commissions are normally eligible for release 30 days after the qualifying invoice is paid. During this hold, refunds or reversals may reduce or void the commission before any funds are transferred.
Commissions are paid only through Stripe Connect to a payouts-enabled account in your name. After the 30-day hold, a due commission may remain pending until payouts are enabled or while Stripe reviews the connected account.
Stripe’s review, timing, and payout rails apply. We do not pay commissions by cash, cheque, or an unrelated bank transfer.
You are responsible for any tax, reporting, or self-employment obligations that arise from commissions you receive.
Refunds and reversals
If the referred owner’s first paid invoice is refunded, voided, or otherwise reversed, we may void a pending commission or reverse a transferred commission. Partial refunds may reverse commission proportionally.
A reversed or void commission is not payable again for the same referred owner.
Fair use
You must not:
- refer yourself, including through another account you control;
- create fake, duplicate, or circular accounts to generate commission;
- misrepresent Footy League, its prices, or these terms;
- use spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or any unlawful marketing to promote your link;
- interfere with another owner’s referral code or attribution.
We may withhold, reverse, or cancel commissions, disable a referral code, or exclude you from the programme where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
Changing or ending the programme
We may change these terms, commission rates, or the programme, or end the programme, at any time. Material changes will be published on this page. We may ask you to accept an updated version before you continue to use the Referrals page.
Ending the programme does not, by itself, cancel commissions already transferred, except where a refund or these terms require a reversal.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for lost commission, delayed Stripe payouts, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the programme.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
